What Are Demigods?
A demigod, meaning half-god, is originally a Greek mythological figure whose one parent was a god and whose other parent was human; as such, demigods are human-god hybrids.
As they are part god, demigods have many different traits specific of them. They have heightened senses, reflexes, strength, and speed. However, they must keep working at these aspects or they may fade from not being used. Even when their traits fade, they will still have better traits than mortals. Demigods also possess a stronger immune system and a slight immunity to certain poisons. Stronger stuff is needed to make a demigod ill.
Demigods also have a longer mortality rate as they age at a slower pace. Most demigods will always look younger than they really are. The average lifespan of a demigod is 310 years. The oldest living demigod was 312.
Demigods attain powers over the sphere of influence their god parent reigns over, in a slightly decreased form. Whereas Zeus could conjure up a thousand bolts of lightning to reign down from the sky and wipe out an army, a child of Zeus may be able to conjure fifty at the most. Demigods must be wary of their abilities. If they push themselves to the limits, they could injure or even kill themselves. As all skills, their powers must be developed through consistent training.
Demigods carry one specific trait of the gods: arrogance. The majority of demigods will look down upon mortals and won't have much to do with them. In their later years, they may tend to mellow, until about 50/50 like/dislike mortals. Younger ones are more prone to despising humans than older ones.
Demigods are very intelligent and not to be taken lightly. Because of their powers, they have an innate instinct towards violence. If they feel threatened or in any form of discomfort, their first reaction will be to cancel out the threat or discomfort by any means necesary. It is wise not to arouse or anger a demigod.

Demigod Laws
These laws were laid down by the gods and goddesses. Some are seldom broken.
1. A demigod may never reveal their true nature to innocents or the true nature of the world.
2. A demigod may never use their powers unlawfully.
3. A demigod must obey their parent despite any loyalties or what the parent asks of them.

The Children of Demigods
If a demigod and a god, or a human and a god, get together and have a baby, it is obvious that their powers will automatically come from their god parent. But what if a demigod and a demigod get together? What powers will the baby have?
Lets say a son of Zeus and a daughter of Poseidon got together and ended up having a baby. Zeus and Poseidon will then decide amongst themselves who is to claim the child. By claiming a child, they bestow their powers over that child. They would then be referred to as a Son of Posedon or a Son of Zeus even though their parents are demigods. This doesn't mean the demigods are no longer their parents, it just means "These are their powers and these are their claimed "parents"."
War is too stressful for demigods to take time off to pander to their baby. So what the parent can do, is take their baby to Mount Olympus and talk to the goddess Hebe, the goddess of youth. She can do several things: (1) make the baby grow up instantly to a certain age or (2) make the baby have advanced age growth up to a certain age where they will then resume normal aging.
Be careful when making this kind of decision though.
A daughter or son of Hebe has the same power. So you can visit them, but you should go to Hebe herself to be on the safe side.
Children will feel moments of pain during rapid growth, especially if you choose choice number 1.
If a demigod child is not claimed, the powers will nullify and they will be considered human. However, they will maintain heightened senses, strength, and speed. Nothing more.
